We are happy to inform you about an innovation in 2022: The successful concert grand E-272 "mutates" into a Model E with a length of 275 cm / 9' 1/2".
We are manufacturing our concert grand E, in a new, slightly modified form: the frame was lengthened by approx. 3.5 cm (1 1/2"), the resonance space for the bass will enlarged without the strings being lengthened. The concert grand is now always equipped with a sordino (alternating with the sostenuto pedal) and the Mozart Rail.
During the Bayreuth Festival 2021 we had the opportunity to provide our last E-272 together with a new "E" model from our rental fleet for the "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff, the comparison is shown in the photos: the bending block was lengthened in the rear area and at the same time a little narrower in the bass section (in the area of the "suspensoin", which was already before incorporated into the rim). All other parameters have remained the same, especially the particularly repetitive action, the transparent tone with its richness of colors and the delicate polyphony.
