Interesting upright piano action

Here's a true odd-ball piano. Hardman made mostly standardized, run-of-the-mill pianos, but this has a highly unusual action mechanism. The hammers are "checked" or caught from above by the backchecks. This is similar to the arrangement in a grand piano.
